“I am truly blessed to be a member of the CEO program. This opportunity will allow me to learn valuable skills that I will use throughout the rest of my business career. I hope to make connections with professionals that will assist me in the business world in the future. I am extremely excited to see my classmates and myself grow together over the year in CEO.”
About My Business
Top Drawer Socks was founded by Blake Lohman and sells high quality athletic socks representing the surrounding high schools. Blake first came across the idea when he was traveling for basketball and wanted a new way to support his school. He realized that local athletic teams and fans could step up their team spirit. Blake realized that creating a sock with school logos on them is the ultimate way for a sport fanatic to rep their team, no matter the occasion. Contact Blake via email at topdrawersocks2018@gmail.com and follow Top Drawer Socks on Facebook and Instagram. Blake will attend Lake Land College and then transfer to a university to major in mechanical engineering. Mentored by Matt Cekander of Doehring, Winders & Co. LLP.

"Going into this tour, I did not expect much since it was a farm. You think, what does a farm have to do with business? With this farm, business and farming go hand in hand. Staying up to date with the latest technology and making the most out of every dollar is what this farm carries itself on. I was really glad that we toured this place because it changed my mindset about farmers in rural Illinois."

"Tuesday was interesting and informing because we had the opportunity to talk to and question CEO alumni. They were in our shoes and know the struggles that us as CEO students go throughout the year. One thing that Braydan Bushue said was, “Take everything in and sort it out later”."
