Kelsey Wermert

About Me

Kelsey Wermert is a senior at Teutopolis High School, where she is a member of the Pomerette Squad, Math Club, and National Honor Society, as well as a class officer. Kelsey is currently employed as a coach at Jansen’s Dance Center, where she has studied dance for fifteen years. During the summer, she was a part of Catholic HEART Work Camp: a volunteer mission trip for young adults in cities around the United States.

“I am beyond excited to start my CEO journey. The class will introduce me to business leaders in the area, and it will give me a network of people to turn to when starting my own business. The skills I will learn and the insights I will gain should be invaluable when I apply for college. And, developing an understanding of business will help me pursue and be successful in the career I eventually choose.”

About My Business

CEO opened Kelsey Wermert’s eyes to the wide variety of charity organizations in our area, and she saw a need for an event to guide youngsters in understanding the importance of giving back. Time for Tea with Mom and Me is a tea-party fundraising event for the Blessings in a Backpack organization. It will be a fun afternoon, held on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at the Austin Mansion in Effingham. Moms and daughters will be rotating through a variety of stations, including painting with StangART’s Jamie Stang; dancing with Jansen’s Dance Center’s, Rachel Geving; and much more. Additional information can be found on Facebook or by contacting Kelsey at kelsey.wermert@gmail.com. Kelsey will attend Indiana State University in the fall, majoring in interior design, with an ultimate goal of one day owning an interior design firm.
