This week created a need for balance between class business and personal businesses. In regard to Inside the Vision: CEO Edition, the students made progress on their ticket platform, speaker lineup, and a sales strategy. Astrid Reyes of Astrid Johana Photography shared her personal journey and her experience with marketing and branding. She provided some terrific feedback that the crew can use as they begin to further market their event.

The Effingham class was one of 30 CEO programs to join a Zoom featuring, Doug Villhard, Academic Director for Entrepreneurship of Olin School of Business. Doug challenged the students to shift their mindset and focus on what problems could be solved as a result of their personal businesses. The students were able to continue this momentum by brainstorming with their mentors at this month’s mentor hustle.

Ben Siemer also visited the class to share his personal story and reflect on his late father’s contributions to the Effingham CEO program. Tony Siemer was a huge advocate of CEO from the very beginning. The class, facilitators, and board are honored to receive funds on behalf of his memorial.
