She is a member of the volleyball team, cheering team, Scholastic Bowl, band, choir, Spanish Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Business Club, the student council, National Honor Society, and St. Isidore Youth Ministry. She is passionate about grammar, traveling, fishing, animals, her family, and her Catholic faith. She has enjoyed attending the March for Life and Catholic HEART Work Camp.
“I am beyond blessed to have this opportunity. There is so much time and money being invested in me, and I plan to make the most of it. I can hardly wait to begin noticing the coming transformation in my confidence, character, and communication skills. I am excited to begin learning more about the ins and outs of business. The coolest part of this program is that I can carry the knowledge obtained into the real world. Thank you to all of the investors, board members, facilitators, and everyone else who has made this possible.“
About My Business
Mikayla Winters is the proud owner of Darling Dudi, a shop that handcrafts beautiful jewelry with a purpose. Each piece is personalized specially for you, allowing you to select specific charms and hand-stamped initials that tell your story. A portion of Darling Dudi’s proceeds will be reinvested into supplies to be donated to the NICU of St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Mikayla was moved to name Darling Dudi in memory of her nephew, David (the name David means “darling,” and the Hebrew nickname for David is “Dudi”). Her family’s journey with David also inspired her to “give some love” to grieving NICU mothers. Darling Dudi can be found on Facebook and Instagram, reached at darlingdudi@gmail.com, and will soon be on Etsy. Mikayla is thankful for CEO. “This program has grown my confidence beyond measure; I believe in myself now.” After Mikayla graduates from Dieterich High School, she will attend Fontbonne University in St. Louis to major in strategic communication and minor in religious studies.
