My Featured Journal Entries
"Connie Houlihan was our speaker for the morning. Because of her past experiences, she had an abundance of business and life advice for us. She spoke of how her struggles had made ended up making her successful. She talked about how things do not happen to you, but they happen for you. Mrs. Houlihan said that remembering this will help us deal with life when circumstances are not great. A quote that I took away from the morning was (referencing the caterpillars and butterflies), “You have to struggle to be able to fly.” This was a presentation full of ideas that will be useful in my everyday life."

"It is exciting that the CEO Trade is coming up soon. It is kind of hard to believe that the journey is coming to an end, but it is exciting to be able to participate in the trade show. I have been to CEO Trade Shows in years past, and I have always thought about what my booth would look like. With the information we received on Wednesday, I am looking forward to beginning the process of preparing a booth."

"Mr. Wegman talked to our class about his journey, and he gave us his advice for business and life. He talked about how it is important to understand our values, and how this will make decisions become much easier. An important thing I learned is that we are the CEO of our own lives and that we should take action."

"We began the Protege training day participating in an activity outside. In this activity, we passed yarn around creating a web in our circles. This web was made to give us a visual of the connections we make in CEO. When someone dropped the yarn that they were holding, a connection went away. I think the message for this activity was that we should represent CEO in a positive manner and network with as many people as possible."
