His dream is to one day own an engineering business.
“What I’m looking forward to the most is seeing all of the opportunities that Effingham County has to offer, and meeting extraordinary people that I can learn from along the way.”
About My Business
Stephen Berg has used his background in music to produce his own album called Saxcovers. Stephen created a CD that puts a new twist on hit songs old and new by making his own saxophone ensemble. The album includes a great mix of songs that people of all ages know and love, such as “Beat It” by Michael Jackson and “Smooth” by Santana. If you have any questions about Saxcovers, feel free to contact Stephen Berg at stephen.berg24@gmail.com. Once Stephen completes his training at the Army School of Music, he will study electrical engineering at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and be a member of the 144th Army Band. Mentored by Dwight Erskine at Raymond James Financial Services.

"There was something he talked about that no one else has said to us before. He said that even though CEO gives us a big head start, if we don’t continue to use the skills we have learned then we will lose that advantage. I’m glad that he said that because it reminded me that just being in CEO doesn’t magically make you a better person, you have to actively try to improve all the time."

"The Thanksgiving Gathering reminded me how incredible CEO can be. That morning was full of people from every stage of life. It is easy to forget about all of the people that make CEO happen when we do not see everyone at once. Events like the Thanksgiving Gathering are important for students like myself because they allow us to have fun, but also remind us to not take the program for granted."

"Before CEO, I never really considered majoring in business as an option. I do not really know why I have never thought of actually doing business, but I am starting to realize that business really interests me. I also realized this week that shaking someone’s hand has become natural to me. I actually want to shake people’s hands because it is instinctive now."
