Stephen Berg

About Me

Stephen Berg attends Altamont High School. His favorite hobby is spending time with his little brothers, Landon and Liam. Stephen is involved in band, and is looking forward to playing in the 144th Army Band after he completes his National Guard training. Some of his other activities include track, soccer, scholar bowl, pep club, and 4-H. He also spends time taking care of his animals with his sister Julianna, mowing lawns, helping out on the family farm, and working at the Carriage House Event Center. After high school, Stephen plans to study Engineering at Lake Land College for two years, and then attain his Masters Degree at the University of Illinois. His dream is to one day own an engineering business.

“What I’m looking forward to the most is seeing all of the opportunities that Effingham County has to offer, and meeting extraordinary people that I can learn from along the way.”

About My Business

Stephen Berg has used his background in music to produce his own album called Saxcovers. Stephen created a CD that puts a new twist on hit songs old and new by making his own saxophone ensemble. The album includes a great mix of songs that people of all ages know and love, such as “Beat It” by Michael Jackson and “Smooth” by Santana. If you have any questions about Saxcovers, feel free to contact Stephen Berg at stephen.berg24@gmail.com. Once Stephen completes his training at the Army School of Music, he will study electrical engineering at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and be a member of the 144th Army Band. Mentored by Dwight Erskine at Raymond James Financial Services.
